How a DeLonghi repair works
- Diagnosis. We open and inspect the machine to find every fault, not just the obvious one. You get a quote before any work starts.
- Genuine parts. We fit genuine parts, not cheap substitutes.
- Service while it is open. Where needed we descale, replace worn seals and gaskets, clean the brew group and lubricate moving parts.
- Testing. Every repaired machine runs through several brew cycles before it goes back to you, checking temperature, pressure, grind and steam.
- Warranty. Your repair comes with our 3-month warranty.
Common DeLonghi faults and what they mean
Hard water speeds up scale build-up inside DeLonghi machines. If you see any of these, stop using the machine and call us first, so a small fault does not become a bigger one:
- CALC or descale alert that will not clear: often a blockage or a faulty flow meter, not just scale. It needs an internal check.
- No coffee or very slow flow: a clogged brew unit, a weak pump or a collapsed internal hose. Do not keep running it if the flow stops suddenly.
- Beans load but the grinder makes no noise: the grinder motor or burrs are jammed, which is common in older machines in hard water areas.
- Leaking under the machine: most often a perished O-ring or hose fitting, which is inexpensive to fix if caught early.
- Steam wand gives only water or no steam: scale in the thermoblock or a faulty steam valve, common on the Dedica and Eletta.
- Switches on but does nothing: a control board, fuse or software fault, which we can diagnose in the workshop.
